Position: Vice President of Payment Processing

Gather Resources is working with an innovative, market-disrupting company, that is seeking a talented leader to be responsible for providing hands-on, visionary leadership for their electronic payments processing platform. This position will require collaboration with sales and business teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of new IT solutions with our marketing, product, and technology initiatives. This is a highly visible, strategic role tasked with building and maintaining a best-in-class payments processing platform.
This position reports directly to the Division VP. This role is responsible for defining and maintaining IT Infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture, standards, and management to include disaster recovery, security, systems, servers, monitoring, performance, networks, and storage. This role must ensure reliable 24x7 operations in a Linux-heavy, high-availability, highly secure, eCommerce environment.
Requirements:
Oversight of daily operations of all payment OLTP and batch processing systems
Oversight of all information technology payment-related projects
Oversight of all change control and implementation plans relating to Information Technology
Oversight of technical operations, network, telecom, information security, infrastructure, help desk, and software development/operations teams
Oversight of the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and administration of all IT systems, including applications, servers, storage, databases, desktops/laptops and mobile devices
Responsible for capacity management on all platforms and proactively planning and implementing system upgrades for projected growth
Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT Operations team to include setting priorities, coordinating projects and resources, and reporting of group activities
Responsible for disaster recovery planning and annual rehearsal
Responsible for creating, maintaining, and validating redundant system architecture for five nine system availability
Responsible and accountable for establishing, monitoring, and ensuring SLAs are maintained
Negotiate and manage contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are met
Responsible for creating, presenting, obtaining approval, and managing a multi-million-dollar annual budget for all aspects of payment technology including CAPEX, OPEX, and staffing
Responsible for providing executive management with daily, weekly, and monthly, KPI reporting
Research and recommend new technologies, applications, hardware, etc.
Must have 7+ years of Industry experience in payments with a working understanding of credit and debit card transactions including authorization, clearing, settlement
Must have a working understanding of PCI DSS
Must have a proven track record of effectively managing a large technology organization
