Position: Staff Accountant
Location: Irving, TX
Reporting to: Director of Finance
The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting needs of the company and partners with management to ensure effective and efficient processes are in place to support the current state of the business and its growth expectancy. Must have the ability to manage and accomplish a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment and possess the skill set to properly prioritize projects based on company needs.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for detailed reconciliations and tracking between financial systems, payment processors, and member accounts.
Complete daily postings of member contributions, returns, and refunds.
Ensure all accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and corporate credit card payments are accurate and properly approved.
Ensure all approved accounts payable items are properly allocated into the Company’s online accounting system.
Process and scan all company billing into the accounting system for payment.
Ensure all expense reports integrated through the online expense tool are coded properly in the Company’s financial system.
Prepare bi-weekly payroll for a growing organization, with the potential to process payroll as needed.
Prepare month-end journal entries on an as-needed basis.
Assist the Director of Finance with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
Assist with audits and other required filings as needed.
Support management with finance-related special projects and requests needed for business purposes.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3-5 years of accounting experience preferred.
Experience in health care or related industry preferred.
Must be familiar with the Basic Accounting Principles with the knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and federal and state laws.
Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimum risk of errors.
Ability to work independently and proactively follow-up on critical items.
Strong analytical skills to solve complex issues.

Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) and QuickBooks.
