Position: Senior Bilingual (Mandarin) Sales & Service Specialist

Location: Farmers Branch, TX (on-site)

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Compensation: $18 to $24 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Gather Resources is looking for a Senior Bilingual Sales & Service Specialist who can read and write in both English and Mandarin to work with their Payment Industry client located in Farmers Branch, TX.

As a Senior Bilingual Sales & Services Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting Mandarin-speaking merchants and partners via phone and email communications. You will be providing the first level of support for sales tasks such as new merchant application submission and equipment orders; as well as all customer and technical service requests. A successful candidate will be able to guide Partners on internal requests and changes while promoting and maintaining a professional working relationship with internal and external customers.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requests between internal departments and Mandarin-speaking Merchants and Partners.

  • Act as liaison for other departments, Partner Relations, and management; focusing on Partner management.

  • Answer incoming requests from Mandarin-speaking Merchants and Partners and facilitate requests. Examples of requests may include but are not limited to transaction lookups, download assistance, terminal, and product operation, setup/configuration adjustments, accounts maintenance, software builds/adjustments, network closures, and any general technical support. 

  • Review incoming paperwork to ensure accuracy before entering it into the system/boarding.

  • Ships equipment and billing information, as necessary.

  • Note all communications in the correct database.

  • Assist in Partner statement message requests, creation, and review.

  • Gather info and escalate it to help develop healthy and growing business relationships with Partners and provide continual ongoing support to bring in additional business to the company.

  • Create and provide training and/or materials as needed to teams supporting Partners.

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of how each Partner's business works to identify different ways in which the company can provide excellent service.

  • Keep abreast, through continuing education, of changes and new technologies in the related field of business.

  • Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements specified in your department goals.

Skills, Attributes, & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 1 year of sales or strategic accounts management experience preferred

  • Fluent in Mandarin, both written and verbal. Cantonese, Fuzhou dialect preferred

  • Possess a strong customer service focus and attention to detail

  • Possess strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Possess a critical focus on accuracy and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to establish priorities, work collaboratively, and meet objectives

  • Ability to work independently but with a team focus

  • Ability and confidence to make sound decisions and maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to analyze and research an issue; convey urgency when necessary and manage the issue to closure

  • Ability to follow up with issues and projects to completion

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision

  • Proficiency in Windows-based computer applications (Microsoft Office Suite) and other applications and systems as necessary
