Position: Learning & Development Manager
Location: Irving, TX
Reporting to: Director of Human Resources
Gather Resources is seeking a talented and motivated Learning & Development Manager to engage, teach, and develop the staff at their client's fast-growing business in Irving, TX.
The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development, implementation, and administration of the Company’s training programs to support the organization’s needs. The right candidate will work closely with managers and employees and will be required to build effective relationships to assist in meeting the Company’s objectives as it relates to its employees, culture, and business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage, strategize, and prioritize Learning and Development programs in areas such as Learning Resources, Content and Curriculum Development, and Learning platforms
Identify, organize, and execute training and development curriculum to support the organization’s needs. Utilizes resources to create and record training material, and execute live training classes.
Develop and deliver effective leadership and employee training to build the capability of employees at all levels of the organization.
Manage the Company’s Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure all user information is accurate at all times.
Monitor course completion to ensure department needs are being met.
Research learning industry trends, methodologies, and best practices and integrate those into professional practices.
Acts as a single point of contact for Human Resource related training.
Report on learning and training KPIs.
Ensure overall training meets legal, regulatory, and company expectations.
Document and maintain position processes to help ensure position continuity and for reference.
Practice and comply with all regulations promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Adhere to privacy, confidentiality, and proprietary company policies and procedures.
Assist in relieving the Receptionist for breaks and/or lunches as needed.
Perform related projects and duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
SHRM-CP or PHR Certification preferred
5+ years of HR-related experience in learning and development
Experience includes program design and curriculum development
Experience in healthcare or related industry preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to establish and maintain productive, positive, and cooperative relationships with employees at all levels, partners, and outside vendors. Includes resolving interpersonal conflicts, correcting misunderstandings or errors, and applying basic staff etiquette in dealing with others.
