Position: Implementation Specialist

Location: Irving, TX

Reports to: Director of Implementation & Project Management

As the Implementation Specialist, you will work with business partners to help shape strategic projects and determine how business needs can be best translated into system requirements and project specifications. Participate in analyzing issues and future needs to identify projects that support a strategic plan, achieve business goals and objectives, and/or improve streamline functions. You will work with the project team on large projects, touching several business functional areas.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to or improve existing implementation strategy to support the organization across various lines of business and varying case sizes.  Establish departmental goals and objectives that are consistent with corporate goals and objectives.

  • Continuously collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to drive project delivery.

  • Partner with external vendors to gather information about trending programs to support the Company’s growth and expertise in the Health care industry.

  • Partner with internal departments as needed regarding account setup requirements and regularly contribute to project improvements for business needs.

  • Leverages technology to reduce implementation duration, eliminate implementation errors, and reduce the level of effort required to implement new cases.

  • Identify potential pitfalls and develop a solution to avoid impact on clients or internal teams and proactively address/correct these issues.

  • Removes roadblocks preventing delivery of superior customer/client experience throughout the implementation process.  Monitors implementation progress across multi-functional areas, reallocating resources as necessary to consistently meet service levels.

  • Define and track metrics to measure project performance and success through various data pulls, industry research, or any other resources to support the results of implementation.

  • Maintains department goals and monitors progress towards achievement of those goals and redirects activities when appropriate.

  • Ensure projects are met within approved time frames with limited extension requests.

  • Attends scheduled business partner conference calls to provide plan status and updates to the implementation process.

  • Maintain relationship with client until the Program is successfully transitioned to the Account Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in related work experience

  • Experience in health care or related industries preferred

  • Previous project management and/or implementation experience preferred

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion to identify a resolution process for system issues, product improvement, etc.

  • Ability to make decisions independently, based on standard procedure or policy

  • Innovative, motivated, organized, high-energy team player

  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficient, Microsoft Project a plus

  • Ability to establish smooth working relationships, resolve interpersonal conflicts, correct misunderstandings or errors, and apply basic staff etiquette in dealing with others

  • Ability to perform a high volume of repetitious work and to work under deadline without losing accuracy

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to explain complex information effectively to members by phone and in writing

  • Ability to learn new procedures and adapt quickly to change in a fast-paced environment
