Position: Supervisor of Chargeback Support
Location: Farmers Branch, TX (on-site)
Compensation: $55,000 per year
Compensation Type: Salary (Exempt)
Reporting to: Sr Manager
Gather Resources is looking for an experienced Chargebacks Support Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing their client’s day-to-day operations of the department and training of personnel. A successful candidate will be able to ensure the department achieves its performance targets while maintaining a well-organized, efficient operation that complies with PCI regulations.
Role & Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise daily operations for the Chargebacks team, including managing timesheets for team members.
Provide chargeback reporting to senior leaders and bank partners.
Communicate with internal and external parties to resolve merchant issues.
Provide oversight and management of chargeback work items; assist with presentation, analysis, and feedback on periodic reviews of portfolios as they relate to the chargeback work function.
Provide training, guidance, and clarity to new team members.
Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge, specifically chargeback and fraud trends.
Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements specified in the department’s goals.
Perform related projects and duties as assigned.
Conform with and abide by all federal, state, and local regulations as well as the Company’s policies and procedures.
Skills, Attributes, & Experience:
Strong people skills with the ability to coach and mentor junior and senior-level chargeback analysts
Experience working in a chargebacks processing role for a merchant acquirer preferred
Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions to prevent possible loss
Effective communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
A strong customer service focus and meticulous attention to detail
Experience using Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of credit card chargeback concepts and methodologies
Ability to establish priorities and meet objectives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyze financial and transaction history information to make sound decisions
Ability to detect and prevent fraud, potential loss, and chargebacks
