Area Sales Manager, New Account Sales - Digital First Banking
Location: Remote - Atlanta, GA, US
Travel Required: 50% - 75%
Compensation: $220,000 – $330,000 per year
Reporting to: VP Digital Banking Global Sales
Gather Resources is looking for an Area Sales Manager to lead their client’s Digital First Banking Sales team in the US and Canada.
As a member of our client’s Digital Banking North America Sales Leadership team, you will be involved in helping to define their go-to-market strategies and in the execution of the same.
The Digital First Banking strategy is a key component of the overall Digital First strategy spanning banking, retail, and hospitality. The Digital First Banking architecture provides a comprehensive set of cloud-native microservice and API-based banking solutions and facilitates common, connected customer experiences across an array of device types whether digital or physical interactions, and across the spectrum of self-service, assisted service, and full-service interactions. The client solution offers large regional financial institutions the flexibility and control to improve efficiencies while also engaging more deeply with customers, increasing retention, and cross-selling effectively without the heavy lifting of a DIY development project. Our client is leading the way in creating more personalized digital banking experiences for their users across digital and physical channels.
Role & Responsibilities:
- An integral member of the Digital Banking leadership team 
- Leading and managing a team of Digital First Banking software account executives targeting the large financial institution markets in the US and Canada 
- Create and implement strategies and tactics to develop an Opportunities pipeline sufficient to support the sales goals of the team 
- Create and implement deal strategies and tactics to win key Opportunities in the LFI segment 
- Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with prospective customers to generate new business for digital banking products and services 
- Research sources for developing strategies to acquire prospective customers for information gathering to determine market potential 
- Guide and assist in the development of clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers 
- Coordinate sales efforts with marketing, sales management, product management, and technical service group 
- Provide management with oral and written reports on the pipeline, sales forecasts, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services 
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred 
- Must possess at least 10 years’ experience making quota while leading sales teams selling complex high-value software solutions to large US regional financial institutions. Online and mobile banking, branch banking, and/or core banking experience preferred 
- Demonstrated aptitude and ability to coach a consultative relationship-based sales approach 
- Must be results-orientated and able to work independently and within a team environment 
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills 
- Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and SalesForce.com
